Hi! I’m Caroline Fowlkes, a marketing student at the University of Mississippi majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications with a specialization in social media strategy and visual design. I’m passionate about fashion, branding, and creating visually compelling digital experiences that connect with audiences in meaningful ways.
Through my coursework at Ole Miss, I’ve gained hands-on experience using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, and CapCut. I’ve applied these skills to develop mock campaigns, branding assets, social media content, and app prototypes—combining strong visual storytelling with thoughtful strategy to bring ideas to life.
In addition to academic projects, I’ve gained real-world, client-facing experience through my winter term internship at Kinetic Communications in Birmingham, Alabama, where I worked on writing and compiling client reports and project proposals and helping identify strategic solutions to issues related to AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), SEO, and AIO optimization. Through this experience, I developed a deeper understanding of how data, strategy, and content work together to improve brand visibility and performance across digital platforms.
At Kinetic, I also expanded my knowledge of WordPress and core web design principles, gaining exposure to responsive design, site structure, and best practices for creating clear, user-friendly digital experiences while supporting live client projects. I’ve also helped create, compile, and deliver client-facing reports and business proposals for a variety of clients, supporting strategy, design, and technical recommendations. These experiences strengthened my ability to communicate ideas clearly, balance creativity with structure, and contribute meaningfully within a collaborative team environment.
Previously, my experience in retail and customer-facing roles helped me develop a strong understanding of customer experience, product presentation, and visual merchandising—reinforcing how digital marketing, visual design, and in-store branding work together to create cohesive brand identities.
I’m always looking to grow my skills through hands-on experience and am excited to contribute to a creative, fast-paced team where I can learn, collaborate, and make an impact.
